Human resources have exhausted all the natural resources offered by the land and will live on borrowing from Monday, two months earlier than 20 years ago, according to the accounts of Global Futures Network.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), a non-governmental organization, said in a statement that “humanity currently uses environmental resources more than 1.75 times” the capacity of ecosystems to regenerate, according to AFP.
“We are cutting off the natural capital of our planet and reducing its ability to regenerate in the future,” she warned.
Consumption patterns vary widely from country to country, but the Fund will consume all resources for the whole year within 342 days.
